Physical Therapy
Why might my child need a pediatric physical therapist?

Pediatric physical therapists are rehabilitation professionals trained in the sensory and motor aspects of normal development and are qualified to evaluate and treat

the special needs of infants and children. Physical therapists help the child to improve such skills as strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and endurance. Our physical therapists collaborate with parents, physicians, and other care providers to establish the child’s individual physical therapy goals and treatment plan.

What therapy is provided?

At the Children’s Center for Therapy, therapy is designed to feel like play for the child, while addressing critical skill development.  For instance, swinging, jumping, and completing obstacle courses are exciting ways for children to build core strength and develop gross motor skills.
We provide a wide range of therapeutic services to patients including addressing:

Torticollis
Coordination and Motor Planning
Balance Training
Gait Training (learning to walk effectively)
Postural Stability Activities
Stretching, Strengthening and Endurance Activities
Gross Motor Activities to develop coordination
Joint Mobilization
Kinesio Taping
Adaptive Equipment and Orthotic Consultations
Family Participation & Training
Aquatic Therapy
